Longevity
The number on a scale tells you your weight. It doesn’t tell you the whole story.
Body composition scanning provides a more detailed view of your body, giving you additional information about where you are today and a baseline for tracking change over time.
At Haus D’ Longevity, the value isn’t simply in the measurements. It’s in understanding what they mean, how they relate to your goals, and which ones may be worth following.
At Haus D’ Longevity, body scans are performed using ShapeScale, an optical 3D body scanner that creates a detailed 3D model of your body to provide circumference measurements and estimates of body composition.
Rather than viewing those measurements in isolation, they can be considered alongside your health history, lifestyle, fitness, weight-management goals, and other relevant information to provide useful context.
The scan itself is quick, non-invasive, and radiation-free. Before your scan, our team will walk you through any preparation requirements and explain what to expect.
The scan provides a snapshot in time. Afterward, you’ll have an opportunity to review your results, understand the measurements most relevant to you, and ask questions about how they may relate to your goals.
A body scan isn’t a diagnosis or treatment recommendation on its own. It’s another source of information that can contribute to a more informed understanding of your body.
Your body can change in ways that aren’t always obvious from weight alone.
When repeat scans are appropriate, comparing measurements over time can provide another way to recognize change and establish a consistent point of reference as you work toward your health, fitness, or weight-management goals.
Your provider or appropriate team member can help you understand which measurements may be useful to follow and when reassessment may make sense.
Our ShapeScale scan provides circumference measurements of the neck, shoulders, chest, arms, waist, hips, thighs, and calves, along with estimates of body fat percentage, fat mass, lean mass, and visceral fat. Visual heat maps can also show where changes occur between scans. Our team will walk you through each result and what it represents.
That depends on how the scan is being used. Our team can confirm whether it can be scheduled independently or as part of another appointment.
Our team will share any preparation instructions before your appointment, including what to wear so the scan can capture accurate measurements.
Repeat scans may provide a consistent point of reference for comparing certain measurements over time. How often scanning makes sense depends on your individual goals and how the information is being used.
No. A body scan provides information; it does not diagnose a condition or determine treatment on its own. When appropriate, the results can be considered alongside other information about your health and goals.
Gain greater insight into your body, establish a meaningful baseline, and follow the measurements that matter to you over time.
